ISAAC CONNER SERVES AS PRESIDENT OF THE TENNESSEE ALLIANCE FOR BLACK LAWYERS

Knoxville, Tennessee, June 29, 2009.  Lewis King attorney Isaac was selected President of the newly formed Tennessee Alliance for Black Lawyers in 2008 and will continue his term throughout 2009.  The Tennessee Alliance for Black Lawyers (TABL) is a delegation of African Americans representing all areas of the State of Tennessee with a purpose to promote the common business interests of Tennessee’s African American bar.

TABL held its first conference, “Embracing the Dream Realizing the Promise” in conjunction with the 2009 Tennessee Bar Association annual meeting in Memphis June 18-20, 2009.  “I am excited to serve as President of the Napier-Looby Bar Association and humbled to lead the newly created Tennessee Alliance for Black Lawyers.  Both organizations focus on enhancing the professional lives of African-American lawyers and the communities in which they serve,” says Conner who also serves as President of the Napier-Looby Bar Association d Conner.

Isaac Conner is an Associate attorney in the Lewis King Nashville office.  His representation includes the defense of matters involving personal injury, premises liability and workers’ compensation claims.  In addition to his defense practice, Mr. Conner serves as general counsel of the Kappa Alpha Psi South Central Province and serves as a mentor in the Big Brothers and Big Sisters program.

Mr. Conner is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the Nashville Bar Association and the Napier-Looby Bar Association.
