Knoxville, TN, January 23, 2008 - Mid-South Super Lawyers Magazine names Lewis King attorneys David N. Garst, Deborah C. Stevens and John R. Tarpley among Tennessee attorneys recognized in its 2007 edition.

David N. Garst – Construction Litigation (Nashville)
David Garst practices in the areas of architects and engineers professional liability, construction defect litigation, construction contract law, and commercial litigation. He has significant experience in defending design professionals, and has represented architects and engineers in hundreds of claims, lawsuits, arbitration matters, and disciplinary proceedings before Boards of Architectural and Engineering Examiners. Mr. Garst is active in construction industry organizations. He is a founding member of the Tennessee Association of Construction Counsel, and served as President of the Association from 2003 to 2005.
Deborah C. Stevens – Personal Injury Defense: Products (Knoxville)
Deborah Stevens is the firm’s managing shareholder. She has successfully defended product liability claims and other catastrophic injury cases, including medical malpractice claims and trucking lawsuits. Ms. Stevens has tried cases in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Mississippi and South Carolina. In 1996, National Law Journal recognized Ms. Stevens experience by listing her in Ten of the Nations Top Litigators. Ms. Stevens was recognized in the 2006 Mid-South Super Lawyers edition for Personal Injury Defense: Medical Malpractice.
John R. Tarpley –Civil Litigation Defense (Nashville)
Former Tennessee Bar Association President and present Vice-Chair Lewis King shareholder John R. Tarpley practices in areas including tort, transportation, product liability, and a wide range of insurance related matters. Mr. Tarpley has also been certified as a general civil mediator by the Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission of the Tennessee Supreme Court. In 2006, the Speaker of the Tennessee House of Representatives rewarded Mr. Tarpley for his exemplary service by appointing him to a six-year term on the Tennessee Judicial Selection Commission. Mr. Tarpley was recognized in the 2006 Mid-South Super Lawyers edition for Business Litigation.
